In England in the 1980s, a new haunted object exploded onto the occult scene. This was a painting of a crying boy, a painting allegedly possessing such a dark and powerful energy that it was indestructible. Even after a housefire gutted their home, the owners of the painting swore that it remained unharmed, as if the painting itself had been the cause of the blaze.
The most terrifying part: the painting was one of a thousands, and all of them were cursed. This series of paintings of crying children have become synonymous with catastrophe, from death to destruction. Some even claimed the child depicted in the painting was the devil himself.

As a kid, I was terrified by the paranormal, but also fascinated with it. I read a book on poltergeists in elementary school and kept a keen watch on myself as an early tween, just in case it might happen to me. Ghosts aren’t real but I really hope one day I experience something I can’t explain. I’m always curious about what we think we understand, what we don’t, and what stories we tell ourselves about it all.

Lol no. I hate being scared and as a result, I have seen very few horror films and almost always refuse to watch them. Casper has a ghost in it, right? Just kidding. I do love The Shining - red rum!

Again, I have read very few. But the two I’ve read, remember, and loved are classics: The Tell Tale Heart and The Call of Cthulhu.
