In the late 1980s, a series of polaroid photos hit the Florida papers, allegedly showing some of the clearest UFOs ever. The photographer, himself an alleged contactee, would become the center of one of the greatest debates in the history of ufology, drawing battle lines not only between skeptics and believers, but amongst the believers themselves. Even today, despite proof that the photos are fake, a legion of credulous individuals still consider the Gulf Breeze images some of the most valuable evidence of visitation from another world.
